Ukraine’s NFT Museum Raises Over $1 Million.

Ukraine's NFT Museum

All the funds collected from the sales of two war-inspired NFT collections will go to the crypto fund “Aid for Ukraine,” which helps purchase non-lethal weapons for the Ukrainian army.

Since the war began, donations in support of Ukraine were collected in crypto coins. In a bid to promote their war effort and document current events as history for coming generations, Ukrainian artists and crypto experts joined forces to launch the NFT museum.

Currently, only two collections have been issued; the third one is soon to be released. The art pieces in both collections depict one day of invasion as illustrated by the artist.

The NFT website reads, “The formula of each NFT is clear and simple: each token is a real news piece from an official source and an illustration from artists, both Ukrainian and international.”

The total funds raised by the MetaHistory NFT museum amounted to $1.29m, with 1958 NFTs in circulation sold off in 91 auctions.

“MetaHistory NFT museum is created to commemorate the history of the current events in Ukraine, preserve the truth, and collect donations for humanitarian aid. We have a new take on the role of art in society – it must be relevant, courageous, and activist. And eternal.”
