Hacking has become the order of the day in the crypto world, and these hackers have targeted Solana users, draining millions of from several wallets.
So far, the losses are estimated to be around $8 million from over 7,000 wallets. However, according to Ava Labs CEO and founder Emin Gun Sirer this number is increasing to around 20 per minute.
The hacker is currently unknown, and PeckShield states that the hack might be due to a “supply chain issue” that was exploited.
Solana confirmed the breach and revealed that there are some 7,767 wallets affected by the breach, while slope announced that it is currently working with the firm to tackle the issue.
Users have been warned not to transfer funds into Solana-based hot wallets like Phantom and Slope and offline cold wallets.
