Sam Bankman-Fried is unlikely to testify on December 13th, saying he has still to learn what happened with the exchange.
It appears that Sam Bankman-Fried is unlikely to make an appearance following the open invitation by the former CEO of FTX –Congresswoman Maxine Waters, representative of California’s 43rd district on December 2nd, to testify with aim of helping the public understand what happened with the exchange.
Despite the multiple public appearances of Sam Bankman-Fried in the past week, he seems unlikely to testify during the hearing of the US House Committee on Financial Services on December 13th.
However, Bankman-Fried claims that he hasn’t fully learned and reviewed what happened and that he is unsure that it will happen by the 13th. Yet, he said he will testify once that happens without providing a clear timeframe.
During the past week, SBF made a few appearances on different Twitter spaces and interviews to clear the air regarding the troubles around FTX.
He even claimed that, to his knowledge, the US branch of the exchange “should” be entirely solvent and that he doesn’t know why they have still not enabled user withdrawals.
