A broad-based sharply deteriorating growth outlook has been suggested by recent indicators. Economists at Danske Bank anticipate the EUR/NOK to push higher in the next few months before dropping in 2023.
Economists believe that the EUR/NOK is moving higher in the coming months caused by a slowdown in growth, a European recession, volatile asset markets, and further spread tightening in the short-end of rate curves.
They state that they still pencil in a NOK rebound for 2023, but timing is tricky.
They have decided to “play the weak” leg in NOK until global central banks signal a policy move in a more dovish direction.
EUR/NOK is forecasted at 10.60 in 3 months and 9.80 in 12 months.
